We are deeply grateful to God for the life and legacy of our beloved Father Bishop, the Most Rev. Dr. M. Ezra Sargunam. His unwavering commitment to proclaiming the Gospel and his unquenchable thirst for souls, especially among the tribal communities, continue to inspire us. His vision and passion for missions have left an indelible mark on our hearts and ministry. Today, we carry forward his dream of reaching every corner of our nation with the love and message of Jesus Christ.

Our History
The Indian Missionary Movement (IMM) was founded in 1974 by our revered Father Bishop, the Most Rev. Dr. M. Ezra Sargunam. By the grace of God and through the prayers and support of countless families, we are celebrating 2024 as our Golden Jubilee year. Over the past five decades, IMM has grown into a powerful force for missions, ministering in 21 states across India. Our work focuses on reaching 50 different tribal groups, with 1,301 dedicated missionaries sharing the Word of God and transforming lives.

Our Mission
Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unreached, particularly among the tribal communities of India. We are committed to:
-
Evangelism and Church Planting: Establishing new churches and spreading the Gospel in remote and underserved areas.
-
Education: Providing quality education to tribal children, with 1,400 Malto tribal children currently enrolled in our schools.
-
Community Development: Empowering communities through vocational training, such as our Annai Mangalam Tailoring School, which has trained and provided tailoring machines to Jharkhand, Bihar, and Javadhu Hills, Tamil Nadu.
-
Leadership Training: Equipping missionaries and preachers through partnerships with organizations like the Evangelical Church of India – Every Community for Christ.

Our Impact
The Indian Missionary Movement has made significant strides in advancing God’s Kingdom. Over the past two years, we have:
-
Supported 51 new missionaries in various mission fields.
-
Constructed 119 new churches in different locations.
-
Initiated the construction of 6 additional churches in Jharkhand, Odisha, South Andhra, North Andhra, Sora, Tripura, and Assam.
-
Built Teachers Quarters and Hostels for children in Rajpokra, Dungakeppu, Laudha, and Chappa Mission School, with the generous support of IMM Tambaram wing and its supporters.

Our Vision for the Future
As we celebrate 50 years of God’s faithfulness, we look to the future with hope and determination.
Our vision is to:
-
Expand our reach to more unreached tribal communities.
-
Plant more churches and train more leaders to shepherd new congregations.
-
Continue providing education and vocational training to empower communities.
-
Strengthen our partnerships with churches, organizations, and individuals who share our passion
for missions.
