Every Community for Christ (ECC) is a mission movement dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, planting churches, and transforming communities through the power of God. Since its beginning in India in 1972, ECC Ministries has continued to serve faithfully with a vision to reach every community with the message of salvation.

As ECC Ministries celebrates its Golden Jubilee in India, we gratefully acknowledge God’s faithfulness in expanding the ministry across the nation and impacting thousands of lives through evangelism, discipleship, and church multiplication.​

Our Journey

ECC Ministries began its work in India in 1972 with the establishment of the first ministry team in Kaveripakkam, Tamil Nadu. What started as a small group of committed missionaries has now grown into a nationwide movement with 76 ministry teams serving across different regions of India.

By God’s grace, ECC Ministries has:

  • Led an average of 35,000 people to Christ annually

  • Planted 884 churches through team-based ministry

  • Expanded ministry outreach into villages, towns, and unreached communities

  • Introduced the Church Multiplication Process in 2010 through the Train & Multiply (T&M) strategy

  • Equipped lay leaders and volunteer pastoral workers for effective ministry and discipleship

ECC Ministries remains deeply grateful for the visionary leadership of former National Directors Rev. Selvaraj and Rev. Dr. Chellappa, whose faithful leadership strengthened and expanded the ministry throughout India.

Our ministry approach combines evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and community outreach to bring holistic transformation through Christ.

Ministry Focus

1. Evangelism & Discipleship

ECC Ministries is committed to reaching people with the Gospel through various evangelistic efforts, including:

  • Open-air meetings

  • Personal evangelism

  • Gospel literature distribution

  • Cottage prayer meetings

  • Bible study groups

  • Mentoring and discipleship programs

Through the Train & Multiply (T&M) strategy, believers and lay leaders are equipped to actively participate in evangelism and discipleship within their own communities.

2. Church Planting

Church planting remains central to the vision of ECC Ministries. The ministry focuses on establishing churches that are spiritually strong, culturally relevant, and rooted within local communities.

Our church planting ministry includes:

  • Community outreach and prayer ministry

  • House fellowships and Bible studies

  • Training indigenous church leaders

  • Supporting new congregations until they become self-sustaining

Every church planted becomes a center of worship, prayer, discipleship, and community transformation.

3. Community Development

ECC Ministries believes in ministering to both spiritual and practical needs. Community development initiatives include:

  • Medical and healthcare camps

  • Educational support programs

  • Tailoring and vocational training centers

  • Community welfare initiatives

  • Sustainable development programs for underprivileged families

These ministries help build relationships within communities while demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ.

4. Leadership Training

Developing strong spiritual leaders is a vital part of ECC Ministries. Leadership development programs are designed to equip pastors, missionaries, evangelists, and church workers for effective ministry.

Training includes:

  • Biblical studies

  • Discipleship and pastoral care

  • Church administration

  • Evangelism strategies

  • Leadership seminars and conferences

Through continuous training and mentoring, ECC Ministries seeks to raise faithful leaders for the future Church.
